To the man I am going to marry

To the man I am going to marry… Please know that I am my father’s princess.

When I was very young he would make me ride on his cow, because he cannot afford a stallion. Yet, he wanted me to feel being carried from different places.

He would lift me to his shoulder so I would know how it feels like to be on top, because he does not have any throne.

He would dance with me outside our house in my pajamas, with the wind blowing as our orchestra and the bright stars as chandelier because he cannot prepare a ball.

He would cook his tended chicken so I could have a feast even if he cannot pay for a chef.

He would take me to the court and make me play basketball because that’s what princesses are for…… to shoot at target??!

He would always make me feel like a princess even though he has never been a King.

Terrifying to not be terrified

I was scrolling along my photos when I stumbled on this screenshot of one of R.M Drake’s masterpiece. I do not remember well when (the picture says somewhere in 2014 tho) and where I got this, all I am sure of is I am a fan of his work and I’ve been following him on Instagram for a while now (maybe got this there. Anyway, follow @rmdrk for his other works and I swear they are all soul wracking!).

So, decided to start a blog and here I am starting to write something.

Before I chant around about anything else, I bet I should present myself in a holistic manner (I know you are interested about me and my boring life. What brought you here anyways? Haha!).

I am Maria Rejie Obsioma, my friends calls me ‘Rejie’, my officemates ‘Rej’ or ‘Maria’ and my relatives, including the parents calls me ‘Jie’. Whatever you’d like to call me, I don’t mind. 26 yrs old but I feel younger. Duh?!?! Single (without attachments and very happy, if I may add), 5’2″ tall in 51 kgs weight. An only child of a farmer parents, living away from the city proper of El Salvador City, Philippines. I am a graduate of BS in Information Technology and now working in a Government organization in Cagayan de Oro City (more that an hour commute from home). I am currently a Masters degree student taking up Masters in Public Administration (yeah I know, so far from my InfoTech undergrad course but I will try to tell you why later) and still on my first year.

I am quiet of a bookworm. Older music genre never gets old for me and I love them. I am always interested with people’s diverse behavior, including myself. I like being alone and I feel comfortable that way. I am not pretty but I know I am beautiful *winks*. People thinks I am funny and I agree with them somehow (although there are times when I realized that I get overboard and I hope they could forgive me for being human). Most of all, I want to reveal that I cannot give a holistic view of myself through one blog post, I am not aware of everything about me either.

So, let us get to know me here and explore a world of wonders in this chaotic reality.
